Day 1 :

Arrival and Welcome Reception

Arrive at Owen Roberts Airport: Retrieve Luggage, proceed out to lobby. Look for Websters Tours or Sunset Sports Tours Rep with Your Name on Card for Transfer to Hotel Indigo.

6:00 - 7:30 pm: Welcome Reception: Location: TBD

Day 2 :

Breakfast with the Rays and Beach Time

6:30am: Meet at hotel lobby for transfer to "Breakfast with the Rays" excursion with Red Sail Sports Grand Cayman. Catamaran departs from the Safehaven Marina at 7:00am. Wear Bathing Attire. Continental Breakfast is served on board. Alcoholic beverages are for sale (cash or credit card) after the visit to the Stingray City Sandbar. A second stop is made for snorkeling on a coral reef. Bring sunscreen, towel. Snorkeling gear is provided. The four hour tour returns to the Marina where a transfer back to Sunshine Suites awaits. You'll return to the hotel at approximately 11:30am.

Remainder of the day: On your own.

Day 3 :

Explore the island and attend an open water swim clinic.

6:15 - 8:30 am Breakfast at Catalina Kitchen & Bar

Time: Swim Clinic on Seven Mile Beach. Location TBD. Join other athletes and get some tips from an Olympic Level Swim Coach. Take the remainder of the day to explore the island or enjoy the beach!

Day 4 :

Race Day Acitvities

6:15 - 8:30am: Breakfast at Catalina Kitchen & Bar

12:00 Noon: Meet at Hotel Indigo (location TBD)for VIP Race Check-In. As a Sunset Sports Tours client, you do not have to be at the starting point 2 hours prior to the briefing. Race officials will be at the hotel to check you in, provide you with your cap, and number on your arm. You can relax at the property until the shuttle bus picks you for transfer to the starting point.

1:45pm: Shuttle Bus will depart Hotel Indigo Lobby for transportation the race venue starting point. Bring a small bag for your personal belongings (flip flops, t shirts, etc.) Sunset Sports Tours will collect those items and have them for you at the finish line.

2:10pm: Race Briefing at starting point followed by entry into the water and the start of the race.

3:30pm: Awards Ceremony at finish line point. Sunset Sports Tours will have your personal bag/belongings waiting for you at the finishing point. Remember, there are nearly $50,000 worth of prizes given away randomly at the ceremony so you'll want to stay!

Evening: On your own.

Day 05 :

Departure Day

7:00am - 10:00am: Breakfast at Catalina Kitchen & Bar

Transfers to Owen Roberts Airport: Time TBD: Sunset Sports Tours will advise you of your transfer time. It will be about 3 hours prior to your return flight time. Websters Tours shuttle will pick you up at the front lobby. Have a safe trip back home!

What is a Trip Plan?

Our Trip Plan is your trip’s detailed itinerary that outlines time and location of events, activities, receptions, excursions, etc. It also outlines payment schedules including dates when payments are due, and when refunds can be requested.

Why do I need travel insurance, including medical coverage?

Your health insurance plan usually does not cover medical expenses you may incur while traveling in a foreign country. Travel insurance will provide that coverage as well as help you find the best medical facilities. Most plans provide medical evacuation should you need it. Note that it is important to look at your policy prior to purchasing it.

What if my significant other or a friend wants to join me, but he/she is not participating in the sporting events?

We have a special “Non-Player” rate for just that situation. While they won’t participate in the sporting components of the trip, your companion is welcome to join the group on all the inclusions (such as welcome receptions, meals, and excursions).

Is airfare included in the package?

Airfare is not included in the package. We have found that most of our clients prefer to find their own air transportation to and from their origin city. Many are members of airline frequent flyer programs and prefer to fly on their respective partner carrier.

How do I get my transportation from the airport to the hotel?

Airport/hotel transfers are generally included in our packages. Once you’ve made your reservation for your Sunset Sports Tours trip, you’ll receive a questionnaire form that asks you for your flight arrival and departure information. We arrange your transportation for your arrival and departure and will provide you with instructions on where and how to access those transfers.

When are my payments due?

A 25% deposit is required to reserve your spot on the trip. Generally, full payment is due 45 days prior to your trip departure from your home to the destination. However, this could change based on the resort we’re staying at and the date you book your trip. Payment schedules are listed on the Trip Plan that you will review prior to booking your trip.

Can I get a refund if I need to cancel my trip?

We try to work with each client should they have to cancel their trip. The refundable amounts are usually based on when the cancellation is made in relation to the departure date. These amounts are outlined on the Trip Plan that you’ll have prior to booking your trip.

Does Sunset Sports Tours provide equipment for the trip?

You are responsible for bringing your personal gear such as racquets, sticks, goggles, etc. Of course, Sunset Sports Tours provides training aids, and the equipment used by the coaching staff.

Are there dress codes for events and excursions?

Suggested attire for our receptions, group meals, etc. are outlined in the Trip Plan for each trip.
